FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

• When is YOWFEST 2026?
  YOWFEST 2026 takes place on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2026, running from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM each day.
• Where is YOWFEST located & is there parking?
  YOWFEST is located at the Hellenic Community Centre (1315 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K2C 1N2). Parking is limited street parking, with dedicated VIP parking for VIP package holders. We highly recommend using rideshares (Uber/Lyft) or OC Transpo.
• How much are tickets?
  Tickets start from $37. You can purchase them directly on our official Eventbrite page.
• Who is performing at YOWFEST 2026?
  YOWFEST 2026 features international and local artists including Jay Critch, Tizzo, ERIN B, MKash, Katie Clarke, SMG, Maeesha B, and many more. Check out our Lineup Page for the full list.
• Are bags allowed inside?
  All large bags are prohibited. Exceptions are made for small clutches, wallets, or fanny packs no larger than 4" x 6" x 1.5", as well as medically required bags or diaper bags.
• Is there an age limit?
  YOWFEST is an all-ages event with general viewing areas! However, access to licensed areas requires you to be 19+ with a valid physical ID.
• Are there in-and-out privileges?
  No. If a ticket holder leaves the venue, they cannot come back in. Note that the venue includes the outdoor vendor area.
• What happens if it rains?
  The performances take place indoors, so the festival goes on rain or shine! If it rains, the outdoor vendors will simply be moved inside.
• Are tickets refundable?
  Tickets are non-refundable after the specific time period mentioned on Eventbrite.

YOWFEST PROHIBITED ITEMS LIST

• Bags: To ensure safety and streamline entry, all bags are prohibited. Exceptions are made for small clutches, wallets, or fanny packs no larger than 4" x 6" x 1.5", as well as medically required bags or diaper bags no larger than 16" x 16" x 8".
• Weapons of any kind: This includes, but is not limited to, firearms (real or replica), knives, pepper spray, brass knuckles, and any other items that could be used to cause harm.
• Illegal substances & paraphernalia: All illegal narcotics, cannabis, and associated paraphernalia are strictly prohibited.
• Large & obstructive items: Items that can obstruct views or crowd flow are not permitted. This includes folding chairs, large blankets, tents, umbrellas, signs, flags, or banners larger than 11” x 17”.
• Auditory & visual disruptors: Items that disrupt performances or cause a disturbance are banned. This includes air horns, whistles, laser pointers, and drones.
• Commercial & promotional items: Unauthorized flyers, stickers, posters, or promotional giveaways are prohibited.
• Outside food or drinks: With the exception of medically necessary items, no outside food or drinks are allowed on the premises other than FOOD FROM FESTIVAL FOOD VENDORS.
